My mission is to dedicate my life’s work in helping to restore and maintain the body’s healing power to as many people as possible – especially children.
I am a native Californian, having grown up in the San Fernando Valley. I moved to Ventura County in 1989 where I met my wife, Gloria and we were married in 1993. Our daughter Cristina was born in 1997 and since she is an only child she decided to “throw” a family meeting where she informed us we would be getting a puppy. So, Ricky the dog came along in 2004. As a family we enjoy traveling, day trips, hiking, the beach and eating out together.
Personally, I enjoy “running for my life” with Ricky on the beach, playing tennis with Cristina and candle light on the patio or dancing with Gloria. My secret hope is to learn and understand more as a doctor to better serve and to not fail my patients. To that end I am continually studying. Currently I am studying about the body’s energy field and energy techniques. I am also interested in nutrition and neurology.
Recently, in my quest to become better at practicing and practicing better I have recruited a mentor and coach. Or did he recruit me, come to think of it? Anyways, thanks to Dr. Ogi, my mentor, various information about many of the conditions that chiropractic treats and helps to improve is available and written out for us in a section of this web site.
I’ve been practicing chiropractic in Ventura County since 1990, so I’ve got a lot of practice.
I went to UC Santa Barbara straight out of high school and got my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1989.
I developed the chiropractic department in a local Community Clinic group and most of my career has been dedicated to these clinics. Over the years working in a medical clinic practicing and seeing all the wonderful things chiropractic can do, I slowly developed a greater sense of what chiropractic is and what it meant to me. The medical doctors send the patients they cannot help to me. Internists, orthopedists, podiatrists, family practitioners and even some psychiatrists and psychologists all refer patients for chiropractic care. Consequently, you can imagine that many of my patients have more difficult conditions and have chronic pain syndromes. What really sticks out in my mind though is when the pediatrician sent infants and toddlers to me as well. WOW! This woman pediatrician knows chiropractic. These kids did not have neck or back pain either. They were sickly kids with flu-like symptoms, chronic earaches, asthma and things like that.
My resolve and confidence as a valid practitioner blossomed. I want everybody to know the truth about health and chiropractic. I am now offering it to the general public!
